Fishing in and around the Smoky Mountains is something everyone can enjoy.  It is our goal to equip you with a wealth of local knowledge and to make quality recommendations available to you and your group to ease any anxieties about how to prepare, where to buy your North Carolina fishing license and, more importantly, where the fish are.

On the "quieter side of the Smokies" you can catch an array of fish, but here at Stay And Play our specialty is North Carolina mountain trout.  With each location you'll find here, be sure to read through our "Local Scoop" and "Local Directions." In these sections you'll see what type of fish to expect, how to get there without getting lost, what kind of trout "waters" each area is designated as.  Now, all you need is a North Carolina fishing license or a Tennessee fishing license (Great Smoky Mountains National Park).
