Arrowood Glade Picnic Area in Franklin NC is a lovely little spot for a picnic in Nantahala National Forest. You can sit out and enjoy the warm meadow-like setting while you enjoy time with your friends and family.
Bring a frisbee or ball of choice to toss around after you have your meal. Or, just bring a book or magazine to enjoy while you soak up the refreshing mountain air.
We recommend Arrowwood Glade Picnic Area to the entire family and is great for large groups. The kids can run around in the meadows or splash around in the small, shallow creek. There is a nice sized parking area and bathrooms on property.
Note: If you drive all the way through, you will need to loop back around. There is a road that continues on past the picnic area but it is private.
