Cataloochee Ski Area in Maggie Valley, NC offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Southeast, and has for over 50 years. Skiing and snowboarding in North Carolina is a unique experience that we want to share with your family. Although we are one of North Carolina's southernmost ski areas, we are proud to offer snow making on 100% of our 16 slopes, utilizing one of the most advanced systems in the Southeast. Because of our snowmaking capabilities, we are often one of the first ski areas to open in the region, year after year.
Catalooche Ski Area is also family-friendly, offering an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. Year after year, families have been coming to our slopes for the time of their lives. Our popular "Kids Ski Free/Kids Stay Free" program offers the family even more flexibility to plan their smoky mountain vacation at Cataloochee.

We have been enjoying the slopes at Cataloochee Ski Area near Maggie Valley North Carolina for over 15 years. Located nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Area is close to it all.
