This handy little picnic area is located just off of S.C. Hwy-107 and only 0.9 mile from the NC/SC state lines. We recommend using this picnic area for those heading North to Cashiers, NC from South Carolina or for those heading over to Whitewater Falls or the Gorges State Park from the Cashiers area. We would also like to suggest stopping here for a picnic due to it's ease of access and the chances of having it to yourself.
We also suggest stopping by "Silver Run Falls" is just 5 miles North towards Cashiers, NC for a nice spot to relax a minute and watch the falls plunge into the nice swimming hole at the bottom. If heading South on Hwy-107 from Cashiers, be sure to stop in one of the many fine establishmetns listing on this site to make sure you have all of the supplies you need for your fun filled day in our mountains. And please tell them Stay And Play In The Smokies sent you!
From the main intersection of U.S. Hwy 64 & N.C. Hwy 107 in Cashiers, NC, go South on N.C. Hwy 107 (crossing into S.C.) for approx. 9.1 miles. The picnic area will be on your Right heading South and on your Left heading North.
