Located in Western North Carolina at the intersection of the Appalachian Trail and the Nantahal River, Nantahala Outdoor Center is a one-of-a-kind adventure destination.  Premium whitewater paddlesports, mountain biking, hiking, lake paddling and road biking opportunities around at NOC year round, and the Center's unique boardwalk-like atmosphere provides an excellent riverside basecamp for area adventures.  NOC hosts over twenty outdoor festival and events every year, and features three on-property restaurants.  The company has earned recognition from The New York Times, Outside magazine, The Wall Street Journal and the Outdoor Industry Association for leadership in outdoor programming, education and events.
