Welcome to Silver Threads and Golden Needles, a friendly and fiber obsessed yarn shop owned by a mother-daughter duo, Virginia and Kristin, along with their best friend, Amy. Located in the Historic downtown shopping area of Franklin, NC, we have everything you need to launch yourself into a fiber frenzy!
Whether you are a local or taking a vacation in the Smoky Mountains, we are your one stop destination for traditional fiber arts. We carry a full stock of yarns ranging from local farms, individual hand-dyers and spinners to your classic favorites from around the world. Just a few of our fibers include: Angora, Alpaca, Bamboo, Buffalo, Cotton, Cashmere, Hemp, Llama, Linen, Mohair, Wool and Silk. Classes are available year round for knitting, crocheting, weaving, spinning, tatting, dyeing and needle felting. Notions and books for these traditional arts are stocked at all times.
